Even giants shrink from the sun
Their skins shrivel and turn to salt-
Disintegrating.
Fills up their shoes
Flows into other people's houses
It covers me up
Until I'm inside and out
dry and cracked and suffocating
And I can't spit it out
Words hardened up in my mouth
Crusting on my teeth
and I scrub and I scrub and I scrub...
